About Sales Management
The Sales Management page is a specialized project and is available from the Company Home Page. If you set yourself as a person in “Our contact” this page will also show in your dashboard under Projects.
Tasks that you add to this project should be about managing sales in general, not specific prospect tasks. For example, sales meetings with the sales team, or developing promotional material.

💡 This sales management page and process is designed for account-based marketing where multiple people in the prospect organisation are stakeholders. It is also most suited to high-value purchases that require prospect education.

Creating a new prospect
- Open the Businesses toggle and select the view “My Prospects”, then click the “+ New” in the appropriate Status group.
- Type the name of the lead. Then open the page to add staff to their business
- Then in the Projects view on the business page, create a new project in the view “Projects by name”
- Name it “Convert [client name] into a client” or whatever convention your business uses
- Wait. It will take a while for the new project to be created. Even if the page template “New project” appears, just wait. Maybe refresh your browser.
- Once the project page has loaded, follow the instructions in Setting up a new project to drag in the tasks. They might be in Task Collections → Sales → Convert a lead into a client
- Note that the project type is “Internal” not “Client” because the work being done is not for the client.
- When ready, return to the Sales Management page
Logging communication
- Open the Prospect contacts and open the page for the staff member you’ve been dealing with.
- Click on one of the contact buttons to log the communication you’ve already had.
- To leave notes about the interaction, open the new page that has appeared in “Log communication” and write your notes there.
- Note that logging communication affects where people sit in the collection of views in Prospect contacts. It also updates the “Last contacted” date for the client.
Prospect progression
Your project tasks should progress your prospect through the sales stages. Agree on what is required to qualify a prospect into the next stage, and add that to the relevant task with the instruction to progress the prospect Status.
The default design can be changed, but doing so would require changes to formulas and views. The current progress is:
Lead: The business is known and is the right demographic to be worth considering
